Opengate Travel LLC ("Opengate Travel LLC", "we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy describes our practices regarding personally identifiable information or personal data ("personal information / PI"). It applies to our websites, applications, email, voice calls, text messages, and social media accounts (the "Platforms"). When you use the Platforms, you agree to the terms in this policy.

Purpose of This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy aims to give you information on how Opengate Travel LLC collects and processes your PI, including any PI you may provide through the Platforms when you purchase a product or service or sign up to our newsletter.

It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other privacy policy or notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing PI about you. This privacy policy supplements other notices and is not intended to override them.

Policy Amendments

We keep our privacy policy under regular review, updating it at least once every 12 months. Opengate Travel LLC may make minor amendments to this Privacy Policy which shall not adversely affect your privacy, except where laws require otherwise.

In the case of material changes, Opengate Travel LLC will publish such amendments on our website and, as far as possible, notify you either by email or pop-up window when you next use our Platforms. Amendments shall enter into force on the Effective Date.

Data Accuracy

When you give us PI, you are confirming that the information is true, accurate, complete and current, and that you have the authorisation to provide it to us. Please keep us informed if your PI changes during your relationship with us.

The Categories of Personal Information We Collect

We do not collect Special Categories of PI (race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, health information, genetic or biometric data), nor any information about criminal convictions.

Children

Opengate Travel LLC does not knowingly collect PI from minors, except where the minor is one of the travelers. If we become aware that a minor has submitted PI, we will remove it from our records. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor who has given us PI, please contact us so we can delete it.

How We Collect Your Personal Information

PI you give to us directly — via live chat, online forms or voice call/messenger. This includes when you request a quote, register, book travel, or contact customer support.

Voice Calls — we have a vested interest in ensuring you have the best possible option. Voice calls provide immediate customer support. We typically call back on your request. You can opt out at any time by contacting us via phone or email.

PI we collect passively — we collect information about you over time using tracking tools such as cookies and beacons. We also use IP address mapping and similar technologies to determine your approximate location in order to personalise your experience.

PI from service providers — this can include when you log in using a third-party platform such as Facebook, or through integrated security software that collects user information.

When we chat with you (e.g. WhatsApp, Facebook, SMS) we may contact you later via automated messages to restore an interrupted conversation. No purchase is necessary. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to SMS, clicking unsubscribe in email, or notifying us during a phone call.

How We Use Your Personal Information

If you have ever requested a quote or purchased our services, we treat you as a Regular Customer and may contact you via email or phone saved within previous requests, unless you opt out.

How We Share Your Personal Information

Important: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information

Our servers and data centres are located in the U.S. By providing us PI, you agree that your PI may be transferred to and stored in these countries, which may have different privacy rules than your own country.

Opengate Travel LLC maintains a security program including data encryption, firewalls, and SSL technology. PI is only accessible by authorised persons within our organisation or service providers, subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have procedures to deal with any suspected PI breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator where legally required.

Retention Periods

We will only retain your PI for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. In the event of a complaint or potential litigation, we may retain PI for a longer period.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Complex requests may take up to 90 days; we will keep you informed. We will not charge a fee unless requests are clearly unfounded or excessive.

If you click through to third-party websites or other platforms, Opengate Travel LLC's privacy policy does not apply. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that lets you tell websites you do not want your online activities tracked. These features are not yet uniform, so we are not currently set up to respond to those signals.
